Hi. My name is Michael Fehrenbach and I am a graphic designer from Seattle, now living and working in New York City.
DESIGN AS A STRUGGLE
Massimo Vignelli once described design as a “fight against ugly.” But I think it is more than just aesthetics. It is fundamentally about communication. To me, design is a fight against inconvenience, against chaos, and against ignorance. It is a struggle for clarity, for dialogue, and for logic. I think it can be both powerful and beautiful.
Good design can tell a story and it can change people’s minds. It is here that design straddles a line with art, as a wonderful playground between creativity and restraints. That playground is where I want to be.
THE FUTURE
I moved to New York and I am always looking for new projects. If you’re interested, take a look at some of my work or my resume. Feel free to drop me a line.
